Depression Treatment

Evidence-based treatment and a more thorough look at what might be sustaining your symptoms.

Depression doesn’t look the way it’s described. It’s not always sadness.

Sometimes it’s numbness. A flatness that makes everything feel like effort. The sense of going through the motions without any of the motion feeling real. Exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix. A version of yourself you don’t recognize, and a growing uncertainty about whether you’ll get back to the one you do. That experience, in all its forms, is what we treat.

We recognize that each person’s story is different, and that’s why we focus on truly listening to you. Our approach is grounded in compassion, whole-person care, and a commitment to uncovering the root causes of your depression. You’re not a diagnosis. You’re a partner in your own healing journey.

At Origin Mental Wellness, we take a root-cause approach to treating depression.

Your first appointment will begin with a thorough psychiatric evaluation: understanding your history, your prior treatment, what has helped and what hasn’t. We establish a clear clinical picture before making any recommendations.

For patients whose depression has been persistent, partial, or treatment-resistant, we also offer a deeper biological assessment examining the physiological factors that may be contributing to symptoms that standard treatment hasn’t fully reached.

This might include metabolic function, inflammatory markers, hormonal patterns, nutrient status, and sleep: biological conditions that can meaningfully affect your brain responds to treatment.

Depression is a complex condition with both psychological and biological dimensions. Origin Mental Wellness addresses both.

Treatment may include:

Medication Management

Careful evaluation and management of antidepressant medications with attention to your history, your genetics where relevant, and your ongoing response.

Brain Energy & Metabolism Assessment

For patients whose depression hasn’t responded to standard treatment, we offer a more comprehensive biological assessment to identify factors that may be sustaining symptoms.

Spravato® Treatment

For patients with treatment-resistant depression, Spravato® (esketamine) offers an FDA-approved option with a different mechanism of action and a faster timeline of effect.

GeneSight® Testing

Genetic testing that helps identify which medications are most likely to be effective and well-tolerated for you specifically.

Whether you’ve been struggling with depression for months or for years, tried treatment before or you’re just beginning, we’d like to help.
