Origin Mental Wellness is a psychiatric practice in downtown Columbus, Ohio, specializing in mood disorders, brain health, and treatment-resistant mental health symptoms.
Our psychiatry practice is built around a simple conviction: people who are still struggling deserve a more thorough look.
We started our practice because we kept seeing a particular kind of patient. Someone who had been in treatment, had tried medication, had put in real effort…and still didn’t feel well. Not because the care they received was bad, but because the evaluation hadn’t gone far enough.
There are often biological factors that conventional psychiatric evaluations don’t reach. Metabolic patterns, inflammatory markers, hormonal states, nutrient deficiencies: variables that affect how the brain functions and how it responds to treatment. We call these the Origin 6 Root Drivers.
Our nurse practitioners created a practice where those factors could be properly examined, without abandoning the rigor of evidence-based psychiatry. We coordinate with your other providers because good care doesn’t happen in a silo. Together, we can help address the root causes of your mental health challenges, rather than just managing symptoms.
