Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
The starting point for all patients. A thorough conversation before any recommendations are made.
Before we recommend anything—a medication, an assessment, or a treatment protocol, we want to understand you.
That means your history. What you've experienced, when it started, how it has changed. What treatments you've tried and how they've felt. What your life looks like around your symptoms. What you've been told and what still doesn't make sense.
This appointment isn’t a form to fill out. It’s a clinical conversation, and we take it seriously.
What the Appointment Covers
-
We review what you're experiencing now and how it has evolved including the timeline, severity, and anything that seems to make it better or worse.
-
We want to know what you've tried: therapy modalities, medications, doses, duration, and your experience with each. This is one of the most important parts of the evaluation.
-
Certain medical conditions and family patterns are clinically relevant to mood and brain health. We review these carefully.
-
A full picture of what you're currently taking, prescribed or otherwise.
-
What are you hoping to understand, change, or achieve? Your goals shape the direction of your care.
-
At the end of the appointment, we'll share our clinical impression and a clear set of next steps — which may include medication, further assessment, referrals, or a combination.
We believe in addressing the root causes, not just its symptoms.
We are committed to providing a compassionate, integrative approach that brings you lasting calm. Ready to begin?
